For Employers

BringYourPeopleBackSafely

When an employee is injured, you need answers you can act on: what they can do today, what they need to recover, and how to bring them back without setbacks. Our evaluations give you exactly that.

Why Empower

What employers get from every referral

Scheduling that keeps claims moving

Our coordinators manage appointment communication and provide status updates through the referral process.

Documentation supervisors can act on

Reports document clinical findings, work guidance, restrictions, and re-evaluation considerations for employer review.

Employees treated with dignity

Your employees are evaluated respectfully and know what to expect at every step. That protects morale, cooperation, and your relationship with the people coming back to work.

Telehealth access where it fits

For evaluation types that support it and where jurisdictions permit, telehealth shortens time-to-appointment, especially for employees far from a specialist.

How It Works

From referral to report in three steps

01

Send the referral

Use the Easy Referral form or contact our team directly. Tell us the evaluation type, the referral questions, and any deadline that matters.

02

We schedule and evaluate

A coordinator confirms the appointment and keeps you informed. The evaluation is conducted by a credentialed clinician matched to the case.

03

You get a report you can use

Findings arrive on a predictable timeline, structured around your questions, with functional guidance your supervisors and adjusters can act on.

Employee Mental Health

The claims you see start with the health you don't

The World Health Organization estimates depression and anxiety cost the global economy US$1 trillion a year in lost productivity, and that every US$1 invested in treatment returns US$4 in improved health and productivity. Closer to your claims desk, untreated psychological conditions quietly extend recovery from physical injuries. Addressing the behavioral health component early supports recovery and informed claim decisions.

Employer questions, answered

What types of evaluations can employers request?

Available services include spinal cord stimulator, psychological diagnostic, independent medical, permanent impairment, and neuropsychological evaluations, along with behavioral health work-capacity and return-to-work assessments. Empower also provides RTW-focused therapy and cognitive rehabilitation therapy when authorized.

How does an evaluation help with return to work?

A return-to-work oriented evaluation compares what the recovering employee can currently do against the actual demands of the job, then documents specific restrictions, accommodations, and a progression plan. That gives supervisors concrete guidance instead of vague phrases like 'light duty'.

How is evaluation scheduling coordinated?

Scheduling depends on the evaluation type, location, and program requirements. Coordinators communicate the case status through the referral process.

Do you evaluate employees in multiple states?

Yes. Our provider network and telehealth options (for evaluation types and jurisdictions that support them) let us serve employers with distributed workforces. Contact us with your locations and we will confirm coverage.
