Psychiatrist- Independent Veteran Evaluations

Responsibilities Conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) psychological evaluations for Veterans Utilize Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and standardized assessment tools Gather relevant history through focused, objective interviews Prepare clear, concise, and timely reports in VA-required formats Provide factual, unbiased assessments without influencing outcomes Complete and submit documentation within required timeframes Maintain clear boundaries between evaluation and clinical care (no therapy or treatment) Adhere to all ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards Required Qualifications PhD or PsyD from an APA-accredited program (Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology) Active Psychologist license Strong report-writing and documentation skills Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols Preferred Qualifications Preferred Prior experience conducting evaluations (VA, forensic, or similar) Familiarity with DBQs is a plus A plus if Experience working with Veteran populations Strong organizational and time management skills

Psychiatrist Veteran Evaluations Are you an experienced and licensed Psychiatrist seeking a flexible opportunity or additional income alongside your current role? Join Empower Mental Health, a fast-growing private-pay organization dedicated to supporting provider growth and delivering high-quality services to our Veteran population. In this role, you will conduct VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) evaluations—structured, objective assessments that assist the VA in determining disability benefits. This is a non-treatment, non-therapeutic position focused strictly on evaluation and documentation, offering a strong work-life balance and meaningful impact. Ideal Candidate: Detail-oriented and efficient Comfortable with structured, fact-based evaluations Able to maintain objectivity and neutrality Strong time management and documentation skills Licensure Required Licensed Psychiatrist.
