Eight steps, one coordinated relationship
Here is what participating in the network looks like for your practice, from your first application through ongoing case coordination.
Join and complete credentialing
Submit your interest form, then work with the provider network team through credentialing so your practice can begin receiving referrals.
Set your preferences
Define your service lines, geography, scheduling capacity, and the case types you accept, so referrals fit your practice.
Receive an appropriate referral
When a patient's needs match your preferences and availability, you receive a referral with the information you need to evaluate it.
Review and accept or decline
You decide whether to accept each case. There is no obligation to accept every referral.
Schedule and treat the patient
Schedule the patient and deliver medically necessary care based on your independent clinical judgment.
Submit required documentation
Provide the clinical and case documentation the program requires, supported by structured workflows.
Receive payment under your agreement
Payment follows the terms of your executed provider agreement. Approved TPN providers may be eligible for accelerated payment under the terms of their provider agreement.
Empower coordinates the rest
Empower manages ongoing lien administration and settlement-related case coordination so your team can focus on patient care.

Your Clinical Judgment Remains Yours
TPN participation does not replace the provider's independent professional judgment. Participating providers are responsible for determining medical necessity, establishing appropriate treatment plans, documenting care accurately, and complying with all applicable professional and regulatory requirements.
